Between Fréjus, Saint-Raphaël and the landscapes of the Estérel
Puget-sur-Argens lies at the crossroads of two worlds. On one side, the coastline, with Fréjus, Saint-Raphaël, and the long beaches of Saint-Aygulf. On the other, the Var hinterland, with its hilltop villages and vineyards. Between the two, the Esterel Massif rises its red peaks above the Mediterranean.
This location allows for a flexible stay: a morning hike followed by an afternoon swim, a full day in the village, or a longer excursion to Cannes or the Verdon Gorge.
Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël, between heritage and the Mediterranean
Fréjus was a Roman city before it became a seaside resort. Its arena, cathedral, and old town tell the story of two thousand years of history, just ten minutes from the village. Fréjus-Plage takes over as soon as you want to get back to the sand.
Saint-Raphaël, right next door, adds its seafront and the port of Santa-Lucia. It's also the starting point of the Corniche d'Or, the road that runs along the Esterel Massif towards Boulouris, Le Dramont, Agay, and Le Trayas. One of the most beautiful coastal roads in France, and one of the few where the red rock plunges directly into the sea.
The Estérel massif, a large natural playground
The Estérel Massif is unlike anything else on the French Riviera. Its red porphyry peaks rise majestically above a deep blue sea, and the contrast is striking. Hiking, mountain biking, viewpoints, scenic drives: the massif can be explored in countless ways, provided you bring water and good footwear.
The area around Agay, Dramont, and Cap Roux boasts the most spectacular scenery. The Landing Beach, Île d'Or, and the coastal coves are all located at the foot of the trails, making it easy to combine a morning hike with an afternoon swim.
Beaches of Fréjus, Saint-Aygulf and coves of the Estérel
The choice depends mainly on your mood. The sandy beaches of Fréjus, Saint-Aygulf , and Saint-Raphaël are wide, supervised, and well-equipped: ideal for families with young children. Saint-Aygulf is 11 km from the village, while Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël are 12 km away.
Heading towards Boulouris and Agay, the coastline becomes more rugged, revealing small coves nestled between red rock and clear water. Fewer amenities, more character. The diving around Dramont attracts clubs from all over the region.
Hiking, cycling and outdoor activities in the Var
Between the sea and the hinterland, the region is perfect for active holidays. The Estérel trails can be explored on foot or by mountain bike, the Argens Valley offers opportunities for nature outings, and the coastal path connects the coves.
Add to that water sports, golf, diving, and boat trips along the Corniche d'Or. Enough to keep things interesting every day and never take the same route twice.
Provençal villages and getaways to the hinterland
Roquebrune-sur-Argens and its Rocher, a listed site of national interest, open the gateway to the hinterland. Further inland, Bagnols-en-Forêt and Callian offer the Provençal atmosphere that the coast has sometimes lost: ancient alleyways, shaded squares, and morning markets.
For a more urban getaway, Cannes and the Croisette are both within a day trip from Oasis Village.
The wines and flavors of the Côtes de Provence
Around Puget-sur-Argens, Roquebrune-sur-Argens, and Vidauban, vineyards are an integral part of the landscape. Several Côtes de Provence estates welcome visitors for cellar tours and rosé tastings.
This stop combines perfectly with a visit to a Provençal market or a nearby village, without adding any extra travel time.
Aqualand, Luna Park and family outings

For those who want a complete change of scenery, the Verdon Gorge and Lake Sainte-Croix are well worth the trip. Allow a full day, but the contrast with the coastline is worth it.
Planning your trips around Oasis Village
The village is located near the A8 motorway, Puget-sur-Argens exit, and the Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël road, making excursions to both the coast and the hinterland easy. By train, the nearest station is Saint-Raphaël-Valescure, 9 km away, on the Marseille-Saint-Charles line towards Ventimiglia. From there, a taxi is the best option.
